lyrics

In another lie
Fought through a vacancy instead

Nothing I wouldn’t do

That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at
me
That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at me
That

That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at
me
That was back when she looked at me
That was back when she looked at me!
that

about

when she looked at me tells the story of a dysfunctional relationship, and the writer is reliving his desires of commitment, his obsession, his love for her; all attributing it to another time, a time where they were together:

back when she looked at him.
