Living in what we would talk about
You were mine, without a doubt
Depression's religion made me devout
Now I'm looking for a way out
With its double meaning, the title can be interpreted as a self-assuring reminder not to reminisce, but can also be interpreted as the words the writer would say if he were able.
He may have offered these words of encouragement to someone who left him behind:
“As you move on, go, and don’t look back on me.”
Why?
The writer lists the traits that convince him he is unloveable.
In order, he illustrates his delusion, dependency, uncertainty, obsession, self-hatred, comparison, the inability to control his thoughts, depression, and states that witnessing the death of everything he wanted is a fate worse than death itself.
Interestingly enough, this track had a quick turnaround from creation to addition its respective album.
